Knowing that every child's life is sacred, it is the promise of Cook Children's to improve the health of every child in our region through the prevention and treatment of illness, disease and injury.Summary of Senior Vice President of Corporate and Community Affairs The Senior Vice President of Corporate and Community Affairs directs and executes system wide marketing and communications programs, develops internal and external communication plans, supervises public relations activities, physician referral development, community health outreach and community relations efforts, provides marketing, communications, and public relations expertise and support for the CCHCS company presidents, Development Office of the Cook Children's Health Care Foundation, and the Senior Vice President for Public Policy.Responsibilities of Senior Vice President of Corporate and Community Affairs Includes The Senior Vice President of Corporate and Community Affairs will involve: Brand management, to ensure look and feel and messaging is consistently executed within all internal and external communications vehicles (publications, presentations, advertising, collateral, Web). Serves as spokesperson for CCHCS as appropriate. Supports the promise and values of Cook Children's Health Care System and demonstrates this through leadership of his/her direct reporting staff, by working as a team member to drive the institution to achieve the vision and imperatives, by constantly striving to improve communication internally in the departments for which the Senior Vice President for Corporate and Community Affairs has responsibility Senior Vice President of Corporate and Community Affairs Requirements for Senior Vice President of Corporate and Community Affairs : Knowledge of sophisticated strategic planning and marketing in health care Minimum of ten years' experience in progressive responsibility for strategy development and marketing activities, preferably in a health care enterprise Outstanding creativity, analytical ability, and leadership skills in directing and implementing sophisticated marketing and community relations strategies, preferably in a competitive health care environment Master's degree in marketing, business administration with emphasis in marketing, or health administration with marketing experience preferred Ability to work effectively with physicians, trustees, executives, and management of health care institutions and enterprises Ability to attract, select, and direct a talented staff of specialists and to direct their day-to-day work in marketing and community relations.
