Responsibl! e for the delivery of patient care that promotes safety and well-being of all patients throughout the organization in the assigned departments on a 24 hour basis. Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, stabilization, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patients presenting for emergency care. Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care for the patient seeking emergency care based on established clinical nursing practice standards. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Supports the organization vision and mission. Utilizes knowledge of patient's age and cultural diversity into the provision of patient care. Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care. Other duties as assigned. ! The RN provides direct patient care, designates patient dispos! ition, assist clinical staff and is responsible for provision of safe, prudent, economical patient care according to his/her thorough knowledge and skills as a Registered Nurse, and ER standards of care.
Qualifications
Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Certifications:
Current state Registered Nurse license; or eligible for immediate state license.
Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) Certification.
Maintain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
Maintain Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification
Experience:
Able to meet physical and sensory requirements of job.
Able to successfully complete orientation of job performance.
Able to meet health standards for hospital employment.
Prior acute-care experience preferred.
Must be highly motivated and committed to a quality of care that emphasizes the patie! nt first.
