Position Location: Iberia Medical Center
Under the general supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer, the Quality Nurse's primary job duty wi! ll be monitoring compliance with the quality initiative indicators. The Quailty Nurse will identify, retrieve, review, summarize data and communicate information to assist in the concurrent measuring and evaluation of the hospital wide performance data. The Quality Nurse in collaboration with the hospital and medical staff will suggest processes for improvement. The Quality Nurse must also demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide education based on physical, psycho/social, education, safety and related criteria for the pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric population. This position will also under the direction of the Infection Control officer assist with infection control/employee health duties.
Requirements: Basic knowledge of the nursing process and nursing principles. Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Basic knowledge of disease processes and management. Ability to communicate effectively, verbally or written. Knowledge of ! computers. Communication with Medical Staff. Knowledge of Join! t Commission/Core Measures/Quality Indicators/Performance Improvement. Current license as a RN/LPN in the State of Louisiana. Previous experience preferred, but not required.
