Pediatrix Medical Group, the nation's leading provider of maternal-fetal, newborn and pediatric subspecialty physician services, has an exciting opportunity for a part time casual data abstrator o! ur Lafayette area location. Must work some nights, weekends and holidays. POSITION SUMMARY: Data abstractors enter clinical data from patient charts daily into MAGELLAdata. The MAGELLAdata program includes a reports application which is capable of generating billing and clinical reports.
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six-months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, ability to write routine reports and correspondence and the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Abi! lity to apply common sense understanding to carry out instruct! ions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
