Neonatologist †Alexandria, Louisiana and Shreveport, Louisiana Pediatrix has great opportunities for full-time neonatologists to join on! e of our national group practices in Louisiana. We currently have openings for a full-time Neonatologist in our Shreveport practice and for one in our Alexandria practice. Experienced physicians as well as newly graduated fellows are welcome to apply. Alexandria†s Level-III B NICU is 34 beds and their dedicated team cares for viable premature babies with the support of Pediatric Cardiology and Pediatric Neurology.
Surgical cases are evaluated by pediatric surgeons on staff for consultations and are transported to other area facilities by the active NNP led Neo transport team. There are approximately 2,000 deliveries and 350+ births per year. Located in central Louisiana, Alexandria is a growing, vibrant and historic city which combines a small Southern city with big city amenities: a world-class airport, two award-winning and leading hospitals, one of the best small zoological parks in the country, five outstanding golf courses, great shopping, and unparalleled a! ccess to the great outdoors makes this area a great place to r! aise a family. Shreveport†s newer NICU is a 25-bed Level-III and a 15-bed Level-II, many patients being ground and air transports from other area facilities, especially for surgical evaluation and support.
There are approximately 1,000 births and 350+ admissions per year.
