The Ch! ief Nursing Officer provides management leadership, supervision, and vision for all nursing professional services, technical and support services for hospital operations to achieve quality patient care consistent with the mission and goals for the Medical Center as ultimately approved by the Board of Directors. The Chief Nursing Officer has fiscal and operational management of functional reporting areas, including Critical Care / Emergency Services, Medical / Emergency Services, Surgical Services, Acute Inpatient Services, Pediatric Services (including inpatient unit, Peds ED, and Pediatric Specialty Clinic), Diabetes, Behavioral Medicine (inpatient and outpatient), Oncology Services (including inpatient unit, Radiation Oncology, and Cancer Registry), Performance Improvement, Accreditation, Infection Control, Home Health/Hospice and Family Doctors Clinics and contractual agreements relating to Anesthesia, neonatology, Emergency Department, and Pediatric Department. The Chie! f Nursing Officer will participate in continuing education act! ivities necessary to maintaining executive leadership astuteness.
