Duties:
Provides individualized, direct patient care of assigned patients under the supervision of a licensed he! althcare provider. The MA assists in the implementation of the delivery of health care services. The MA assists fellow employees in providing the highest quality personalized patient care and maintains a positive work relationship with the health care team. The employee should demonstrate the ability to provide care and service with individuals of all assigned age groups. Demonstrates actions consistent with Ochsner’s “Expectations†as duties are performed on a daily basis.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of a Medical Assistant program preferred. Certification and one year related experience or two years related experience. Experience in an ambulatory care setting preferred.
Other Requirements:
Basic Life Support at the Healthcare provider level training is required. Shift flexibility. Ability to work efficiently under pressure. Ability to set priorities. Self directed. Ability to maintain strict confid! entiality.
Mandatory:
Taking vital signs Medical terminology
Knowledge of computers
Telephone skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Good organizational skills
Preferred:
Knowledge of sterile techniques
