Physician Network Financial Analyst

Managing the finances of our 36+ provider network while continuing to connect new providers/practices to our network.
- Review! and monitor outsourced billing company to ensure efficient revenue cycle procedures
- Assist in physician network managed care contracting including negotiation and fee review
- Budget for thirty-six cost centers, including family practice, internal medicine, oncology/hematology, hospitalists, neurology, obstetrics/gynecology, pediatric intensivists, radiation oncology, urgent care clinics, and administration.
- Coordinate physician compensation and physician bonus calculations on a work RVU model
- Create and maintain financial statistics analysis tool for MGMA benchmarking and budget variance analysis
- Produce monthly financial snapshot reports for multiple stakeholders including practice managers, physicians, the Network Operations Council, and the Hospital Finance Committee
- Review bank account reconciliations, assure adequate cash controls, and review revenue cycle for all network practices that generate ~$13 million annuall! y
- Coordinate relationships between hospital departmen! ts and practice managers, including accounting and supply chain
- Produce ad-hoc pro formas for various projects including new practice construction and adding service lines
- Procure information technology equipment for all practices through various vendor relationships
- Created hospital job descriptions and orientation competencies for all practice employees
- Write, standardized, and maintain front office financial policy and procedures in all practices
Minimum Requirements:Education:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or Healthcare Administration required Experience:
2 years experience in Hospital Finance preferred Consideration may be given to financial related work experience Experience in financial software with capabilities in Excel, Lotus, and database management tools Skills:
An understanding of hospital budget and reimbursement is highly desirable Working knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel required Ability to organize, assess and perform analytic reviews on various statistical and financial information in order to provide recommendations based on the data collected Ability to accomplish a defined scope of job performance through independent investigation, self-motivation, analytical and problem solving techniques Ability to read and compose business correspondence and to communicat! e effectively with all levels of the organization and external parties !
