This position is home-office based and will float/travel to various clinical sites throughout the country basedo on business needs.

SUMMARY OF PURPOSE:
Under the supervision of the treating physician performs appropriate procedures needed to meet the needs of quality patient

care for lithotripsy procedures. Demonstrates knowledge and judgment in quality patient care. Maintenance of accurate patient

medical records and performance requirements of the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Regulations if applicable.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assists physician in positioning patient for treatment and monitoring patient closely during treatment. Patient Population â€" neona! te, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatrics.

Admi! nisters oral, intramuscularly or starts or places intravenous catheters as required for intravenous fluid or medication administration as ordered by treating physician.

Administers intravenous Conscious Sedation according to policy.

Under the direction of the physician, may be required to inject medications of flush solutions into ureteral or urethral catheters or nephrostomy tubes.

Thoroughly explains procedure to be performed to facilitate patient cooperation and alleviate patient anxiety. Cooperativeness and courteousness in dealing with all personnel and patients is essential.

Examines and review each chart in order to be aware of pertinent information such as procedure requested, clinical history, patient’s condition and any other special notes or comments.

Confirms patient information entered into unit logs is complete and accurate and ensures all procedures performed are properly charged and recorded prior to being sent ! to the billing office.

Maintains accurate and complete nursing QA records of each procedure.

Assists QA Director, as needed, with obtaining treatment follow-up information from referring physicians.

Maintains ethical and confidential relationships between personnel, patients, and other hospital lithotripter personnel.

Maintains and monitors protective devices for crew and patient as directed. Coordinates activities of the unit to render the best possible patient care.

Checks instruments, equipment and other supplies to ensure proper function. Assisting in cleanliness of equipment and orders and maintains an adequate supply of inventory to ensure an uninterrupted processing of cases scheduled.

Notifies the Director of Operations of any special supplies in order to them to be received in a timely manner.

Makes frequent contact with scheduling office for daily verification of patients and treatment times, and repor! ts patients treated on the unit to the billing office. Prompt return of! QA data to central office.

Assists with administrative responsibilities as assigned and ensuring compliance with manufacturer’s guidelines on coach set-up and operation.

Submits Daily Treatment Records within 48 hours of treatment; submits weekly expense reports no later than 14 days past the week-ending date on the report.

Fully understands and adheres to hospital emergency, safety, infection control and other hospital policies and procedures.

Practices customer service excellence when relating to patients, physicians, hospital staff, Prime Medical employees, its vendors and stakeholders.

Performs other work-related duties as required and assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
High school graduate or equivalent.

Graduate of approved nursing institution.

Must be currently licensed and registered in appropriate state(s) as a Registered Nurse.

Must maintain and provide evidence of current! CPR and ACLS certification.

Annual physical exam/health history and TB screening required.

Maintain and complete current HIPAA training and requirements.

Complete and maintaining current company regulatory courses.

May be required to possess a Commercial Drivers License and have a safe driving record.

Other appropriate state (s) licenses as required by law and operational needs.

RN must have a minimum of 1 year of experience; RN in California must be living in the state of California with recent clinical experience as an RN.

Experience with communicating regular status to clients, superiors and peers.

Special procedures background is a plus.

Moderate computer skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills necessary to handle sensitive, confidential situations and interact professionally and courteously with physicians, patients, patients’ families and other personnel.

Must be able to communicate effectively by telephone, e-mail and i! n person with customers, co-workers and supervisors.

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
May require considerable walking, standing, lifting and supporting patients.

Starting and ending times of workdays will vary according to patient scheduling needs. Employee must maintain D.O.T. physical

standards when applicable.

Will be required to push, carry and pack equipment for all procedures according to manufacturer’s guidelines.

There can be a risk to occupational electrical and radiation exposure.

Potential risk or physical injury from electrical equipment malfunction and flammable anesthetics/gases.

A film badge may be required.

Dress code may be required i! n work area.

Overnight travel may be required.
