The social worker assesses the psychosocial needs of the clients and their families and implements the appropriate treatment plan according to the policies and procedures of the Center(s).
Minimum Qualifications
E! ducation: M.S.W. degree from an accredited school of Social Work.
Experience: One year of experience in the areas of pediatrics, mental health or clinical social work.
Licensure: Board Certified as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Louisiana
Certifications:
Other: Demonstrated social work skills (especially assessment and intervention skills) and knowledge and understanding of psychological issues related to chronic illnesses, developmental and behavioral disabilities, psychopathology and family systems.Able to work in a mental health setting that utilizes a multi-disciplinary approach (psychiatry, psychology and social work).Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with clients, families, co-workers and community agency staff.Ability to be mobile and physically engage children in activities, behavioral interventions and testing (such as standing, couching, sitting on the floor physical restraint).Good problem-solving! skills.Willingness to work a flexible schedule with a minimum! of one day a week of extended evening hours or Saturday hours.Willingness to travel between office locations and within the community for business purposes, such as professional meetings, school consultations, etc.
