JOB SUMMARY:
The Float, Radiologic Technologist provides Mobile Urology Services to hospitals, surgery centers and clinics for an assigned

geographic territory or region when providing coverage for personnel PTO/Leave. Under the supervision of the treating physician,

performs technical procedures and utilizes ionizing radiation as directed by the physician for radiographic diagnosis and

positioning. Assist physicians and other hospital staff in the treatment of patients. Maintain accurate medical records or

such treatment and performance requirements of the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Regulations. Acts as a mentor to ot! her

Radiologic Technologists and provides ad hoc trai! ning as needed. Exhibits expertise in the field of lithotripsy and functions

as a resource to ad hoc committees at HealthTronics Inc.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
RT Subject Matter Expert (SME); trains new technicians (on the equipment & the job position); provides ad hoc training and mentorship to other Radiologic Technologists

Travels extensively; covers a large territory.

Develops and maintains good business relationships with various physicians and hospital staff. Practices good customer service using cooperativeness and courteousness and maintains ethical and confidential relationships with physicians, hospital staff, HTRN associates and its vendors.

Ensures safety of the patient before, during and after the procedure.

Interfaces regularly with the Scheduling Department to ensure smooth case load schedules.

Demonstrates competence in assisting the Urologist in the identification of calculi and accurately! positioning each individual patient and selecting proper technical factors of each during the lithotripsy procedure. Patient Population â€" neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatrics.

Responsible for optimum radiographic equipment function and keeping patient exposures to a minimum without interfering with optimal treatment. Assists other hospital, physician or related ancillary staff as required during procedure.

Confirms patient information entered into unit logs is complete and accurate and ensures all procedures performed are properly charged and recorded prior to being sent to the billing office. Submits Daily treatment reports and Procedure documentation on a weekly basis prior to leaving assignments.

Regularly checks equipment to maintain it is in proper working condition and promptly reports any problems to the Director of Operations. Assists in the scheduling of equipment, tractor and trailer maintenance as required either as a! n individual or with team members. Routinely leaves a site better than ! what is found upon arrival.

Follows all company related policies in relation to set-up/breakdown of equipment at the beginning and end of each service period.

Loads, unloads, and transfers the Lithotripter, corresponding components, and any necessary supplies from the transport vehicle to and from the designated procedure area if applicable.

Assists in developing the skills of other staff members and cross-trains in other ancillary areas as requested by the Regional Operations Director.

Learns to proficiently operate each device, lithotripter or laser, currently utilized by the company/

Fully understands and adheres to hospital emergency, safety, infection control and other hospital policies and procedures.

Performs other work related duties as required and assigned. Works independently and with minimal supervision.

Maintains and fulfills all credentialing requirements for each duty assignment’s state. (includ! ing testing, allied health applications, on site courses and any other necessary function required by the facility where he/she is assigned)

Other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education and formal training:
High school graduate or equivalent.

Completion of an AMA approved school of radiologic technology.

License:
Registered and in good standing with the ARRT and current state Radiologic License(s)/certificate(s) as required by federal and state regulations as well as facilities in which HealthTronics treats.

Appropriate state(s) licenses as required by law and operational needs.

Maintain and provide evidence of current CPR certification.

Annual TB/immunizationscreening required.

Maintain and complete current HIPAA training and requirements.

Complete and maintaining current company regulatory courses.

Complete and Maintain Certified Renal L! ithotripsy course and pass course with a 75 score or better every 2 yea! rs to maintain position.

May be required to possess a Commercial Drivers License and must have a safe driving record.

Experience:
Minimum of ten years experience with general diagnostic duties in the field of Radiology.

Background in Urology with extensive experience in Lithotripsy with proficiency in general theories of the operation and practical clinical applications of ESW devices.

Lithotripsy experience is required.

Special procedures background preferred.

Extensive computer skills.(to include but not limited to: Outlook/Excel/Web page navigation/computer maps/GPS usage/email and Word documentation.)

Knowledge in positioning, technical factors, darkroom technique, processor maintenance and radiation protection.

Able to collaborate with internal and external resources and be able to meet schedule and/or deadlines.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Starting and endin! g times of workdays will vary according to patient scheduling needs.

May be required to lift in excess of 50 lbs. several times a day.

Will be required to push, carry and pack equipment for all procedures according to manufacturer’s guidelines. There can be a risk to occupational electrical and radiation exposure.

A film badge may be required and monitoring of film badge reports and acting as unit R. S. O., as designated. Potential risk or physical injury from electrical equipment malfunction and flammable anesthetics/gases.

Must maintain D.O.T. physical standards if applicable.

Ensures safety of the patient before, during and after the procedure.

Frequent travel inside or outside of assigned geography or region as needed; overnight travel required as needed.
