LSU Health Shreveport The Department of Pediatrics at Louisiana State University Health Shreveport is see! king qualified BC/BE individuals to fill faculty positions as listed below to meet the needs of the clinical and residency training programs at the Childrenâ s Hospital. Demonstrated excellence in clinical care and teaching is required. Opportunities exist for collaborative research and protected time is available. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Chief of Adolescent Medicine. The successful candidate will establish an Adolescent Medicine Section, coordinate the inpatient and outpatient care of adolescents, and be responsible for the education of residents and medical students.
Chief of Developmental Pediatrics. The successful candidate will lead and coordinate developmental services at the Childrenâ s Hospital and its clinics.
Endocrinologist. The successful candidate will join two experienced full-time Pediatric Endocrinologist at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level. Clinical an! d/or laboratory research interests will be supported. Primary ! responsibilities include patient care and resident and medical student education.
Chief of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition. The successful candidate will join an experienced senior pediatric gastroenterologist. Responsibilities include expanding GI services and resident and medical student education.
Nephrologist. The successful candidate will join an active section to provide nephrology services at the Childrenâ s Hospital, serve as a member of an established team, and be responsible for resident and medical student education.
Pulmonologist. The successful candidate will join an active section as the second BE/BC pediatric pulmonologist at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level. This will be a full time appointment, either on tenure or non-tenure track. The Childrenâ s Hospital has an accredited Cystic Fibrosis program.
