Department of Neurosurgery
Four (4) Positions Available

Job Concepts:
This individual will implement and coordinate clinical trials for the clinical and research divisions of the department of neurosurgery as well as assist with coordination of clinics, procedures, and patient and family education for various divisions within the Department of Neurosurgery to include: pediatrics, endovascular, spine, complex spine, skull base, tumor, functional, and gamma knife services. Duties will include department marketing for studies, initial clinical trials request paperwork, IRB submission for approval, regulatory documents, patient recruitment and follow-up, patient appointment scheduling for tests and procedures, authorization for related tests and procedures, supply ordering, and assisting clinical personnel with! patient, family and community education for related trials an! d clinical procedures. Accurate records are required for study monitoring and inventory including maintaining a computerized database of neurosurgical patients and films seen by our service. Incumbent will cross-train in all areas of departmental research as required. Strong verbal and written communications skills are required to adequately correspond with research teams, patients, and ancillary staff on all levels. The incumbent must possess the qualities of self-motivation and the ability to work with limited supervision. Strong leadership skills and high degree professionalism is desired. Workdays are to be Monday through Friday, 8 am â€" 5 pm, however, there may be times when individual will need to come in after hours or weekends to get a patient enrolled in one of the studies or otherwise complete tasks.
