GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
This position is responsible for providing direct therapy services to sch! ool age children with disabilities or developmental delays varying in age from K-12.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provide direct therapy services to school age children with disabilities or developmental delays through face to face interactions, which help the child participate in their natural environment.
• Participate in assessments to determine ongoing needs.
• Participate in the development of IEPs and assist family in developing outcomes and identifying needs within their daily routines.

WORK EXPERIENCE

• Preferred: Prior experience working with the Pediatric Population in a school setting.

EDUCATION

• Required: Degreed and appropriate State Licensure as well as ASHA certification.

• High quality of work, organization and planning skills, problem solving and decision making skills, self-improvement and initiative, adaptability and flexibility, excellent commun! ication skills (written and verbal), ability to work well with! others and independently.
• Client-centered awareness, knowledge and abilities.
• Demonstrates behavior that is professional, ethical and responsible.

MENTAL DEMANDS

• Ability to maintain emotional control under stress and empathize with families. Ability to ensure personal accountability; and compute and compile necessary documentation.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to meet the physical demand of working with young children, such as bending, movement, and sitting on the floor.
• Ability to work flexible hours
