Daily operations in providing care to Pediatric patients
Manages the provision of adequate and compete! nt staffing
Addresses any issues that affect desired patient outcomes
Ensures departmental compliance with regulatory and The Joint Commission requirements
Implements cost-effective strategies in staffing and supply management decisions
Manages the productivity of the department within budget
Consistently demonstrates positive interpersonal relations with all constituencies-including other departments, patients, physicians, and community
Able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety and related criteria appropriate to the following age groups: Neonates, and Pediatric Patients
Demonstrates support for patient rights in day-to-day interactions
Conduct reinforces the organization's values and promotes the Code of Conduct
Monitors quality initiatives/programs as appropriate
Ensures competencies of employees
Develops and implements policies and procedures that guide! and support the provision of services
Ensures annual review of department policies and procedures
Maintains positive employee relations as observed from employee feedback
Qualifications
Current Louisiana RN license
Previous experience in pediatric services preferred
Previous management experience preferred
BSN required, but current enrollment in BSN program is acceptable
Certifications: PALS/NRP/STABLE
Previous crtitical care experience preferred
