JOB DUTIES : Coordinates patient assessment through collection of patient's health data, analyzes patient assessments to determine nursing diagnoses and identifies expected outcomes. Coordinates an interdisciplinary plan of care that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcomes, implements the interventions identified in the plan of care, and evaluates the patient's progress toward attainment of outcomes. Triage assessment on all patients. Performs focused assessments for all age populations, administers and monitors Procedural Sedation. Performs all other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS : 1 year acute-care with experience in Emergency Medicine preferred.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS : Pediatric Course ACT 548, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within one year, Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) preferred, Crisis Prevention Training preferred! .
SKILL, LICENSE, AND/OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS : RN with current Louisiana Nursing License, Pediatric Advanced Life Support training (PALS) preferred.
